PET PORTRAITS
The art of taking someone's individual pet and immortalizing them in an image. More tasteful than a blurry, harsh photo. Easier than a photographer, only to have an image that is often taken towards the end of their life, captures an uncomfortable/fearful pet, or too late to take a picture at all.

To capture the emotion and expression of a beloved pet, to capture how they were without ever meeting them. Not to a cartoon degree, nor so little that they seem lifeless. Capturing what made that one pet special from every little freckle to just the right shine in their eyes. To do a good pet portrait takes an understanding of anatomy, a deep understanding of animal emotion, and empathy for the animal and the person who loves them so dearly.

I hope to capture and bring out the best in your pet.

RYDER
The first pet portrait I ever did, a stunning springer spaniel named Ryder.
An excellent hunting dog and an even better friend, much like his owners. Thank you for everything Sherri.

OONA
A beloved Boston terrier.
Oona's owner didn't mind the image, except the background. I took the sweet little lady and put her in her favorite place. In her backyard in spring, filled with flowers.

ATTICUS
A wonderful chocolate labrador retriever.
His owner wanted me to take some weight off him. They also did not have a good image of him, being a wiggly lab. I put him in a better position. They also chose to put him in his favorite place, the beach.

HENRY
A delightful English mastiff puppy.
His owner wanted me to put him with a long gone friend in their favorite place, an old horse trail.

SONATA
An amazing saint bernard.
Her owner only had two pictures of her left, I took the better of the two and made her a little more spry and happy. Like how she used to be in her favorite place, an old horse trail.
